Li Tang Gallery presents Portrait, an online group exhibition from November 7, 2022 – January 22, 2023. We are looking for artists who explore the realms of portraiture through both realistic and nonrealistic practices to evoke an emotional response regarding these contemporary issues. From paintings to works on paper, to digital creations, there is no limitation on the media that can be submitted. Through the portraiture discipline, Li Tang Gallery is looking for artists who question our understanding of the world and our positions in it.
Artists at any stage of their career are invited to submit their work for consideration by our guest jury artists Philip A. Robinson Jr. and Jiannan Wu. We had an overwhelming response to this call and received 1965 artwork submissions from all over the world. The overall high quality of the submissions we received made the jurying process a difficult one. The online group exhibition is curated by the Li Tang team. It will be promoted on the Li Tang gallery website, social media, and press coverage in the United States and China.
